1. Who we are
Ignition Voice ("Ignition Voice," "we," "us," or "our") provides cloud calling, SMS, softphone, and related communications services at ignitionvoice.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our websites, dashboards, APIs, Chrome softphone, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
If you use Ignition Voice through an employer or organization account, that organization is typically the controller of account and call data, and we process that data on their behalf as a service provider.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create or are invited to an account, we collect information such as name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), role, and account/organization details.
Telephony and messaging data
To provide calling and messaging features we process information such as:
- Phone numbers you purchase, assign, or dial
- Call metadata (direction, timestamps, duration, status, disposition, agent assignment)
- Call recordings and transcripts, when enabled for your account
- Voicemail messages, greetings, and voicemail-drop audio you upload or record
- SMS content and delivery metadata where SMS is used
- Softphone presence, device identifiers, and session activity
Integrations and business tools
If you connect third-party providers or CRMs (for example Twilio, Plivo, Infobip, or Advertising CRM), we receive credentials you supply and exchange call or lead-related data needed to operate those integrations.
Technical and usage data
We automatically collect log and diagnostic data such as IP address, browser/user agent, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and error events to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies (including an HTTP-only session cookie) to keep you signed in and protect account access. We do not use these cookies for third-party advertising.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
- Route, record, transcribe, and display calls and related media as configured by your account
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Support customer service, troubleshooting, and operational monitoring
- Comply with law, enforce terms, and protect against fraud or abuse
- Communicate service-related notices (for example security or account changes)
We do not sell personal information. We do not use call recordings or transcripts to train third-party AI models except as needed to provide a feature you enable (for example transcription), subject to that provider's terms.
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Telephony and infrastructure providers that power calling, SMS, media storage, and related features (such as Twilio, Plivo, Infobip, and cloud object storage)
- AI / transcription providers when your account enables call transcription
- Connected business applications you configure (for example CRM sync)
- Service providers who help us host, operate, or secure the Services under confidentiality obligations
- Your organization's administrators, who can access account users, settings, call history, and recordings according to their role
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections
5. Call recordings, voicemail, and transcripts
Recording, voicemail, and transcription features are controlled by account settings and applicable law. Your organization is responsible for providing any legally required notices or consents to callers and called parties, and for configuring these features appropriately for your use case and jurisdiction.
Recordings and related media may be stored on our systems and/or cloud storage configured for the Services, and may be accessible to authorized users in your account.
6. Data retention
We retain account, call, and media data for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes such as security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention may vary by data type and account configuration. You (or your account administrators) may request deletion subject to technical constraints and legal obligations.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and encrypted storage of certain provider credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. If you use Ignition Voice through an organization, please contact your account administrator first; we may need to coordinate requests with them.

10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
